This camp is perfect for your teen if…
They like working with their hands, figuring things out, and making something that actually feels real. Whether they’re brand new to clay or already a bit obsessed, they’ll step into a supportive community of small classes where the pace feels Simple, Easy, and Convenient for you — and grounded, focused, and doable for them. The first two days they’ll try both handbuilding and the wheel, getting a feel for each before choosing where to spend the rest of their time.
You’ll love this camp if…
You want more than a week of “keeping them busy.” You’re hoping they’ll slow down, think deeply, and take pride in what they create. They’ll have generous practice time to refine their ideas, build real skill, and experience clear skills progression as they work more intentionally with clay. Each day invites patience, problem-solving, and that satisfying feeling of making something with care.
What you’ll love most…
Seeing them leave the studio focused, thoughtful, and quietly proud — maybe with fewer pieces, but better ones. They’ll spend their time perfecting forms on the wheel or shaping meaningful handbuilt pieces, building confidence as they discover, “I can make something beautiful with my own two hands.”

“It felt like their creativity woke up, and we’re convinced that nurturing that expression really does make life better.”
- Carla

Over the week, your child will hand-build and glaze real ceramic pieces they’ll treasure (ready for pickup about two weeks after camp), while also bringing home other colorful creations the same day or at their next visit.
Each day brings something new — hands in clay, minds at play, and generous practice time to explore their own ideas — all within a supportive community where they can make new friends, try brave things, and feel truly capable.
Expect silly sculptures, thoughtful making, and that quiet pride that grows as they see what they’re able to create.
The class includes:
-
All clay and art materials — nothing to buy, nothing to prep, just showing up ready to make
-
A camp t-shirt they’ll be excited to wear (and get a little clay on)
-
A simple fruit or veggie snack each day, plus time to refuel and chat with new friends
-
3–5 real clay projects they’ll hand-build and glaze, with clear skills progression and plenty of practice time
-
3–5 additional art projects where they can experiment with different materials, textures, and ideas
-
One “forever piece” made together as a class, which will hang in the studio as part of our growing supportive community — your child gets to leave a little bit of their creativity behind
Please send a water bottle and clothes that can get messy — creativity is a little dusty around here.

FAQ
What if we can’t attend all five days?
Camp is designed as a full-week experience so your teen can build confidence, connection, and clear skills progression each day. If you know you’ll miss a day, you’re still welcome to attend — we just aren’t able to offer make-ups or prorated pricing for missed days.
Do you offer sibling discounts?
Yes! Siblings receive a discount when they register together. Use code SIBLINGS at checkout to get $25 off additional spots.
Can I drop off early or pick up late?
Doors will open about 10 minutes before camp begins, and we ask that all campers be picked up promptly at the end of the day so our staff can reset the studio for the next group.
What should they wear?
Please send your teen in clothes that can get messy. Clay itself doesn’t stain, but we may use other art materials that could.
Do they need a snack or just a water bottle?
A water bottle is all they need. You’re welcome to pack a small snack if you’d like — and we’ll also provide a simple fruit or veggie during break time.
Who teaches the camp?
Teen Camp is led by Karen, who has over 10 years experience in pottery and has been teaching for much of that time. All instructors at the studio are held to high standards of teaching that prioritize experimentation, joy, clear skills progression, and helping students create quality work in a supportive environment.
What if my child needs extra support?
Depending on the level of support needed, you’re welcome to stay with your teen. If you have additional children who wish to participate, they would need to be registered as campers.
What is your refund policy?
-
Full refund if you withdraw more than one week before camp begins.
-
50% refund if you withdraw within one week of the start date.
-
No refund after camp has begun.
(Optional line — gentle and reasonable, not guilt-y):
Because camp spots are limited, withdrawals close to the start date may prevent another child from attending.
Can parents stay and watch?
We ask that parents drop off and allow campers to participate independently so they can fully immerse in the experience and build confidence. If your teen needs extra support, you’re welcome to stay — just let us know ahead of time. A library, grocery store, and coffee shop are all in the shopping center.
Pottery must dry and go through the kiln before it’s finished. Pieces are typically ready about two weeks after camp ends.
