Kids Clay Club
Creativity. Confidence. Community.
Imagine your child walking into a room buzzing with creativity, hands ready to dig into clay, and new friends waiting to share the joy of building something real.
Kids Clay Club is more than an after-school activity — it’s a place where kids unplug, laugh, explore, and discover the magic of turning an idea into something they can hold in their hands.

This class is perfect if your child loves building with their hands, making new friends, and having time away from screens to imagine, create, and explore in a laid back atmosphere. Even better, they’ll gain confidence, discover artistic and STEM skills through clay, and come home proud of what they’ve made.
We're all about giving kids a place to dream big, get messy, and create alongside friends who love clay as much as they do. It’s about growing confidence, sparking curiosity, and discovering just how much fun learning can be when their hands are in the mud.
What you’ll absolutely love is seeing your child light up with new ideas, friendships, and skills each week. Even better, you’ll watch them grow more confident, curious, and proud as they bring home creations that are uniquely theirs.
"The personal experience and laid back atmosphere made for a stress free environment to create."
- Nick
Your Child Will Experience
Friendship & Community
Your child will create alongside peers who love sculpting, shaping, and experimenting as much as they do. Every class is a chance to connect with supportive friends and encouraging teachers.
Freedom to Dream
Away from screens, their mind will wander, imagine, and sketch. They’ll explore what’s possible, learning that their ideas matter and can take shape in clay.
Artistic Process
Kids will experience the full journey of creativity: brainstorming, sketching, trial and error, problem-solving, and celebrating the “happy accidents” that make art unique.
Confidence in Failure
Clay teaches resilience. They’ll see mistakes not as the end, but as part of the process. Each attempt brings new skills, and every project helps them build confidence.
They'll learn STEM in Action
-
-
- Think like an engineer as they plan how to build tall, strong, or complex forms.
- Learn chemistry as they see clay dry, transform in the kiln, and change colors with glaze.
- Explore math and scale as they size, measure, and balance their designs.
- Experience science through the forces of heat, gravity, and time that shape their pieces.
-
Hands-On Joy
Most importantly, they’ll get messy, laugh hard, and take home creations they’re proud of — from hand-built sculptures to wheel-thrown pieces during the last week of each month.

Kids Clay Club – FAQ
Enrollment & Getting Started
What ages can join Clay Club?
Clay Club is open to kids in Kindergarten through 12th grade.
When does Clay Club run?
Sessions run September through November and start again in January. Families can choose once-a-week or twice-a-week options.
Can my child start in the middle of a month?
No. Students begin at the start of the month so everyone is working on similar projects and receiving the same instruction together. This way, each child gets the full hour of attention and fun.
Scheduling & Attendance
What if we can’t make it one week?
No problem! Your child can make up the class on a different day that month. Students take the specified number of classes per month, but attendance isn’t tied to a specific day. If you enrolled in the 8 week option, you can either apply it to a month that has an extra Club day in it, or bring a friend for one session (can only use once, and they must finish forming their piece that day).
What if my child doesn’t finish their piece during class?
They can continue it at the next class! If it isn’t finished within the month, your child can pick it back up if they enroll the following month. Once a piece is constructed, it can also be fired in the kiln and finished later — we’ll make sure their work is kept safe.
Can my child take clay or tools home to finish?
No. All tools and materials must stay in the studio to ensure safety, consistency, and success with the process. However, we do offer clay and tools to purchase in our shop. You're welcome to buy your own materials to make pieces at home and use our kiln. Just be aware of our Kiln Use policies.
Class Experience
What kinds of projects will they make?
Each month has a theme with planned projects. If your child dreams up something different, we’ll guide them through the planning and building process so they can be successful with their own ideas.
Will my child get to try the pottery wheel?
Yes! Wheel lessons are offered the last week of each month, and kids may participate one day that week on the wheel.
What if my child struggles with behavior expectations?
Students sign a behavior and cleanup agreement when they join. After two warnings, parents will be contacted. If behavior continues or is a major issue, the student may be asked to take a break for the rest of the month (no reimbursement). They are welcome to try again the next month. If issues persist, studio management will decide what’s required for them to return.
Do I need to stay during class?
Clay Club is drop-off friendly, but since it’s only an hour, it helps to stay nearby. If you’re unsure about behavior, stick close. Good news—there’s a library, Kroger, and coffee shop right in the parking lot, so you’ve got easy options while your child creates.
