One-Week Exploration with Ashley Bergeron
Ready to take pottery to the next level? This one-week class is an exciting deep dive into two incredible surface design techniques—Sgraffito and Mishima—taught through an engaging video lesson by Ashley Bergeron.
Both techniques transform the surface of clay into a canvas for striking, high-contrast designs. Sgraffito invites carving through layers of slip or underglaze to reveal crisp, bold patterns, while Mishima adds intricate inlay work that brings delicate details to life.
This one-time class includes dedicated time for practice, refining skills, and experimenting. You should come with a general design in mind or sketched out so that your design decisions have been made, but leave space to add intricate details.
